Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson Make Bank On Forbes List

'Twilight' stars, plus Daniel Radcliffe, Anne Hathaway and others, make 'Hollywood's Best Actors for the Buck' list.

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart

It wasn't too long ago that Forbes declared Eddie Murphy and Drew Barrymore box-office poison, but there's better news this week for actors like Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Daniel Radcliffe, just to name a few. The young Hollywood heavyweights top the money magazine's Hollywood's Best Actors for the Buck list of stars, which weighs the actors' salaries against their movies' box-office return on investment.

With three weeks at the top of the box office for "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1," it's no surprise that the "Twilight" stars have landed on the list. Stewart, whose films earn $55.83 for every $1 she's paid according toForbes, sits at the top of the list.

Pattinson sits at #3 because, the magazine argues, "he has branched out more, so only one of his 'Twilight' films is eligible for this list." "Eclipse" was the only "Twilight" film the magazine counted for Pattinson, alongside films like "Water for Elephants" and "Remember Me." His films earn $39.43 for every $1 he's paid.

Anne Hathaway sits in between the two "Twilight" stars at #2. For every $1 she's paid, her films, including "Alice in Wonderland," earn back $45.67. "Harry Potter" star Daniel Radcliffe ranks at #4 on the list. For every $1 he's paid, his films earn back $34.24.

Coming in at #5 is "Transformers" star Shia LaBeouf. His films earn back $29.40 for every $1 he makes. Rounding out the top 10 are "Iron Man" and "Sherlock Holmes" star Robert Downey Jr. ($18.74 for every $1), Matt Damon ($15.83 for every $1), Cate Blanchett ($15.17 for every $1), Meryl Streep ($13.54 for every $1) and "Pirates of the Caribbean" star Johnny Depp ($12.48 for every $1).

Daniel Radcliffe Is Entertainment Weekly's Entertainer Of The Year

'Harry Potter' star joined by Adele, 'Bridesmaids' cast and more in annual issue.

As 2011 nears its end, more Best of 2011 lists are rolling out. On Wednesday (December 7), Entertainment Weekly revealed their Entertainer of the Year: "Harry Potter" star Daniel Radcliffe.

This year's cover boy, who will next star in the 2012 thriller "The Woman in Black," wrapped up the beloved and successful "Harry Potter" franchise before becoming the toast of Broadway in "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying." Proving himself a worthy candidate for the prize, Radcliffe just made Forbes' list of bankable box-office stars.

Radcliffe is joined by Adele, the cast of "Bridesmaids," Hugh Jackman, "South Park" creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker, Viola Davis and "Game of Thrones" author George R.R. Martin in EW's annual issue, which hits newsstands December 9.

Radcliffe — who was also chosen as the actor MTV News was most thankful for in 2011 — opened up to us earlier this fall about his ever-evolving career.

"It's been a great first year away from 'Potter,' " he said. "It's been very successful. I've done some work I'm really proud of in that time, particularly onstage in 'How to Succeed.' Just the process of doing it and doing it and doing it, I've got so much better, I think, during the run, as is the way it should be. It's been a great year, but I think next year is the big one for me. 'The Woman in Black' is coming out, and I've also got a couple other things I'll be doing. The next two or three years are going to be pretty important, I think, and if [2011] is not a breakout year, it's a breakaway year."

In the issue, the Entertainment Weekly honorees are toasted by some of Hollywood's biggest stars, including Julia Roberts, Amy Poehler, Meryl Streep and Sandra Bullock. "I went and saw 'The Book of Mormon' on Broadway, and was so offended I peed my pants twice," Bullock writes about Stone and Parker in the issue. "Maybe three times. I lost count I was so offended."

Poehler offers up her take on "Game of Thrones" author Martin: "[He] is such a great writer that it makes people angry. Tyrion the Imp has some of the best one-liners I have ever read from someone about to die. Did I mention a lot of people die?"

Taylor Swift was the mag's 2010 Entertainer of the Year.

'Three Stooges' Trailer Delivers Slapstick And Snooki

Farrelly brothers bring the Stooges into present day but leave their classic comedy style intact.

The Farrelly brothers have finally unleashed the first trailer for their "Three Stooges" movie, and if you're a fan of Larry, Moe and Curly's classic slapstick, consider it an early Christmas gift.

The nearly two-minute spot opens at the Sisters of Mercy Orphanage, where a burlap sack containing the baby Stooges is dropped at the doorstep, complete with the first eye-poke gag.

The rest of the trailer features a smorgasbord of classic "Three Stooges" quotes, gags and slapstick, with a couple of modern twists thrown in. There's the familiar "spread out!" shout when the boys prep for a fight, Curly's panting and dog barks when he spots a beautiful woman (one of whom is played by "Modern Family" star Sofia Vergara) and their "Mind your P's and Q's" gag. There are lobsters stuck to faces and dropped in pants, plus countless objects thrown at our main characters.

In one scene, the guys are introduced to the iPhone, which Curly puts up to his eye to try and blink-talk with someone.

The final shot of the trailer features some very familiar faces: JWoww and Snooki from our very own "Jersey Shore."

"Hiya, Snook, I gotcha a present," Larry says, holding out a cardboard box to an unsuspecting Snooki. "Go on, open it." Snooki opens the top and a hand jumps out and pokes her in the eye. "Owww!" she yells, and the trailer fades to black.

After years of false starts and attempts to reboot the classic eye-poking, head-bonking comedy franchise with stars such as Sean Penn, Benicio del Toro and Jim Carrey, the movie now is being headlined by the trio of Sean Hayes, Will Sasso and Chris Diamontopoulos.

Although the film is not yet rated, when MTV News caught up with the Farrellys earlier this year, they promised to keep things PG.

"The Stooges, by the way, are just naturally and organically PG," Peter Farrelly said. "That's what it is. We wouldn't want it to be what it isn't. It's like 'Napoleon Dynamite,' as funny as that was, that was a PG movie, not PG-13. It's just natural, and this is what the Stooges is.

"They are Moe, Larry, Curly as you remember them," he added when asked if the co-directors had plans to modernize the characters at all. "It's not a biopic. It's the episodes just as you saw but we rewrote, we have all new episodes. We have three episodes. Technically, each episode picks up where the last one left off. Each one begins with its own theme, so it's about an hour and 25 minutes. Three episodes, fun, old-fashioned, but it takes place present-day, and they look, dress and sound like the Three Stooges."

Check out everything we've got on "The Three Stooges."

Robert Pattinson In 'Cosmopolis': First Look!

Robert Pattinson spent eight months on the set of "Breaking Dawn" and was immediately pulled from the set to begin his whirlwind press duties for "Water for Elephants" last month. After perhaps just enough time to take a quick nap, RPattz is now back on a new set: "Cosmopolis," director David Cronenberg's adaptation of the slim Don DeLillo novel.

With production under way, Cronenberg's daughter has posted the first look at Pattinson and Sarah Gadon in character. The photo appears to capture the duo in a cab, though the great majority of the action, or lack thereof, in the book takes place in a limousine. Pattinson plays Eric Packer, a young and rich asset manager who, over the course of one day, manages to lose millions of dollars yet remain oddly detached from it all as his limo plods through horrendous New York City traffic. Gadon portrays Elise, a rich and beautiful heiress who is married to Packer but who doesn't seem to care for him very much at all and who certainly won't sleep with him.

"I had read the script about eight months ago and thought, 'Wow, this is something that hasn't been made in a long time,' "Pattinson told MTV News in March. "Which I think, like 'Water for Elephants' as well, I'm just trying to find that kind of stuff, because what else is the point? There's so much generic, everything's the same. So you might as well attempt to try something different."

When we caught up with him again in April, Rob revealed that he'd been working with a dialect coach to achieve a "very specific accent." But he still hadn't spoken with Gadon about the upcoming project. "I've seen a couple of things she's done," he said. "She's really good."

'Twilight' Director Weighs In On Kristen Stewart's MTV Movie Awards Nods

Earlier this month, we asked whether "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" would rule the 2011 MTV Movie Awards. Well, that question will finally be answered on Sunday night when the show goes live from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Los Angeles with "SNL" star Jason Sudeikis serving as host.

The third "Twilight" flick is up for eight Golden Popcorn statues this year, and given the series' past record, Twi-hards probably don't have to worry too much about its chances. The director of the first "Twilight" flick, Catherine Hardwicke, says she is not surprised that people are still as frenzied about the movies as they were back in 2008.

"Well, I think it's great. I love it that people are so passionate about it and that people are really into it and following the characters," she told MTV News when we chatted with her about the June 14 DVD release of "Red Riding Hood," which she also directed. "I think it's a great tribute, obviously, to what [author] Stephenie Meyer created. ... Rob and Kristen and everybody's been able to just keep it going and keep people loving it all this time, and, of course, all the directors, everybody. I think it's awesome. It's great."

Stewart is nominated in the Best Kiss category for locking lips with both Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson. So which kiss does the director think she should win for? "Maybe it can be a tie? That would be perfect! I think [that's] the safest solution to this problem," she laughed.

Lady Gaga's Monster Ball Tour Was 'Insanely Magical'

Earlier this month, in front of 55,000 fans in Mexico City, Lady Gaga finally put the Monster Ball to bed. It had been quite the ride — the tour lasted nearly 18 months, kicking off in November 2009, rolling through four continents and inspiring one over-the-top HBO special in the process — and, aside from Gaga herself, perhaps no one could testify to that better than the Semi Precious Weapons, who opened practically every show.

Of course, Semi Precious Weapons' history with Lady Gaga goes back even further; she opened for them back in 2006, and they've remained fast friends ever since. So it was fitting that, at the conclusion of that final Monster Ball show, Gaga brought the band — and longtime friend Lady Starlight — back onstage to bask in the applause and share one final curtain call together.

It was a poignant moment for everyone involved, one that SPW frontman Justin Tranter recalled after the Thursday night premiere of "Lady Gaga: Inside the Outside," during MTV's "After-Show" live stream.

"We played over 200 shows with her, all over the world, and at the end, the very last show, she says [onstage], 'This used to be a really small show that I did in New York City with my friends, when no one was watching, we just did it because we loved it,' " Tranter said. "And then she brought us up onstage in front of 55,000 people, and it was just ... the craziest thing ever.

"A friend of mine was texting me because he saw the interview that Gaga just did where she talks about opening for us at the Knitting Factory, and he was just like, 'I can't believe this is all real,' because he was there for that show and backstage for that show," he continued. "And, you know, it was one of those moments in Mexico City, where I'm standing onstage, opening for her, getting 55,000 people to scream one of my best friend's name over and over, after I'd just played them a bunch of songs. It's surreal. The Monster Ball was ... such an insanely magical experience and it's really depressing that it's over."

And after spending almost 18 months on the road with Gaga, you'd be correct to assume that Tranter has a whole lot of memories like that one (most of which can't be reprinted anywhere), but, recently, there's one that keeps coming back to him: the night Gaga's current single, "The Edge of Glory" was born. Because not only was it rather magical, but it also summed up everything that he loved about being on the Monster Ball in the first place.

"One of the things I keep remembering recently, just because 'The Edge of Glory' is everywhere now, is, I think we were in Sweden, and she was writing that song," Tranter said. "We had just had three weeks off on tour, and ... she had just written that song, and in our dressing room, through the wall, we could hear her singing it. And then she texted me and asked me to come in and listen to it. And then I had to go onstage, and when I came off she asked me to come back again, and we were being music geeks and going over chord-change options, and now the song is everywhere.

"So I think that's an amazing example of the Monster Ball and how things really haven't changed; it's still us playing each other our songs, it's still us hanging out," he continued. "And to think that there's 20,000 people in the audience waiting for us to go on while she's writing this song, waiting for her to go on while she's writing that song, that's a moment I've been thinking of a lot recently."

Blu-ray review: True Blood: The Complete Third Season

by

With the latest season of HBO's hit adaptation of Charlaine Harris' Southern Vampire Mysteries kicking off in the US at the end of June, we figured it was high time to reaquaint ourselves with the small Louisiana town on Bon Temps and its inhabitants – both living and undead. And as luck would have it, True Blood: The Complete Third Season has just arrived on Blu-ray on these shores, continuing the adventures of telepathic waitress Sookie Stackhouse as she goes hunting for her missing vampire lover Bill following the shocking finale to the last year's 12-episode run.
This year's major storylines dial down the craziness (a little) from the orgiastic antics of Season Two, but still finds time to add plenty of new wrinkles to the mix – the most dramatic of which is surely the long awaited arrival of werewolves into the show's growing mythology. Add to this even more screen time for the show's best supporting characters (Jessica, Eric, Jason and Lafayette) and a brilliantly nutty new vampire in the form of Mississippi's vampire king Russell Edgington, and there's plenty to love about this deliciously wicked slice of Southern Gothic.

Picture: As with seasons past, this latest run of True Blood looks sensational in 1080p high-definition. Okay, so there's the occasional instance of banding, and the odd bit of shadow detail gets lost in the pervading darkness that shrouds so much of the series. But, other than that, all twelve AVC 1.78:1 encodes are simply superb - glitch free and wholly representative of the original source material.
Picture rating: 4/5

Audio: True Blood continues to impress with its sound design, which often seems so much more accomplished and considered than you'd expect from a film, let alone a TV series. Be it the subtle atmospherics of the swampy bayou, the swirling voices that accompany Sookie's as attempts at reading a mind or the directional dynamism of a no-holds-barred fight between vampires and werewolves, the DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 mixes sound absolutely perfect and drag the viewer right into the heart of the action. Couple that with some rich music presentation and perfect dialogue reproduction and there's really nothing to complain about.
Audio rating: 5/5

Extras: As always, each episode is accompanied by a Recap and Preview, and there's also an Enhanced Viewing Mode with PiP in-character videos, pop-up biographies and histories, and links to previous and future episodes. The in-character videos (all 380 of them, running 61mins) can also be found on the final disc to be watched separately. Six of the episodes also get audio commentaries that mix up a cast member with a writer and writer or director. Making their debut this season are Post Mortems for each episode (short related videos that run from behind-the-scenes stuff to fake news stories), a Snoop Dogg music video and an 11min Anatomy of a Scene featurette for Bill's werewolf fight in the second episode.
Extras rating: 3/5

We say: Great AV performance and an overall pickup in quality from Season Two means this is a must for the show's legion of fans.
